Reedflute Software Solutions is a software development company founded in 1998. We come from a strong software engineering background which guarantees a solid foundation for all our engineering and software projects.
Initial focus : Industrial control systems (1998 to 2002)
Initially we focused on engineering and industrial process control. We successfully completed projects with amongst others, Sasol, Nampak and KeopsIsis. Industrial projects included SCADA and process control software design combined with customised I/O driver development for various SCADA and HMI packages.
Change of focus : web development - online applications (from 2002 onwards)
Understading the powerful capabilities of the Internet as a business tool, we decided that all applications we develop will be able to run in an online environment. We shifted our focus to develping software for the Internet and have been focusing on the development, hosting and maintenance of major business websites and web based applications.
We look at each site as an evolving project
We look at every site as a work in progress and keep in touch with our client to ensure that the site’s content stays relevant and its functions run smoothly. We send monthly reports with recommendations on possible improvements on content, look, functionality and search engine rankings.
Consultants-Online - our latest project
Due to the numerous requests from engineers and consultants - we have started Consultants-Online - which is a web based service created to support consultants which includes secure hosting, e-mail and FTP services and CPD approved workshops. OpenCafe - an open source advocacy project
